Welders & Boilermakers (Trades & Services)Full timeMMC are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our dynamic team in Darwin.This role is a hands-on leadership position, leading a crew of boilermakers, welders, apprentices and trades assistants, while working closely with a team of 50, including estimators, schedulers, stores/logistics personnel, fitters, riggers and our blast and paint crew.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of boilermaker and welding individuals or teams in our Darwin workshops and local metro site work.Prepare job fronts with correct tooling, equipment, consumables and materials prior to work commencing and ensure smooth progress throughout the jobs.Actively work on jobs where needed, setting an example for the team.Report directly to the workshop foreman.Collaborate with other departments to maintain workflow efficiently.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.Minimal office or computer work; this role is primarily workshop based.Proactively identify and contribute to the continued improvement of the workshops.Skills and Experience:Strong trade skills with experience in plate work, pipework and structural fabrication.Experience in industries such as mining, marine and oil & gas is essential.Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and focus to keep jobs on track.Positive attitude with the ability to inspire and lead a team.Adaptability to site project work if desired.What we offer:Location: Darwin Workshop with opportunity for FIFO site-based project work if desired but not required.Employment type: Flexible - Casual or Permanent/Salary.Casual Rate: $60 per hour (minimum 6-month commitment).Salary: $125,000 fixed term or ongoing.Competitive pay rates are negotiable based on employment type and committed hours.We are flexible in our approach to committed hours and can negotiate 40-55 hours over 4-6 days per week depending on the right candidate's desire/preference.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Leading Hand Boilermaker?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?#J-18808-Ljbffr
