Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – NeonatesTotal Indicative Remuneration Package: $105,751 - $171,579 MDP2 (pro rata) | 2.0 FTE – Contract in line with SMOEAMake a Difference: Join Our Neonatal Team at Flinders Medical CentreThe Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is one of two hospitals in South Australia that provide tertiary perinatal service to the state of South Australia and surrounding districts (Broken Hill (NSW), Mildura (Vic) and Alice Springs (NT).The incumbent is required to work as part of a multidisciplinary academic clinical team providing clinical services of the highest possible standard to newborn infants and their families and to actively pursue improved outcomes for newborn infants in South Australia by participating in teaching and research.About the role:Reporting to the Head of Unit, Neonatal Unit, some of your duties as the Neonatal Registrar may involve:Participation by the Registrar in Outpatient Clinics of the unit rotation.Assessment and management of acute paediatric and neonatal emergencies will be undertaken by the Registrar.Appropriate consultation with senior nursing staff, supervising Consultant and other relevant staff will be undertaken.Please note: As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Neonatal Registrar will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.About you:MBBS or equivalent and registrable with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.Paediatric / Neonatal Trainee status with Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or if an overseas applicant, have completed at least 3 years of paediatric training including 12 months of tertiary neonatal training.Clinical experience and competence in the practice of neonatal medicine consistent with completion of RACP part 1 in Paediatrics.Clinical skills appropriate for the duties performed in the Neonatal Unit.Demonstrated computing skills including the use of spreadsheets and preparation of data for presentation.Ability to work as an effective team member within a multidisciplinary environment.Application Closing Date: 11.55 pm Sunday 19th January 2025Note: The Indicative Total Remuneration is inclusive of Award salary, Superannuation, and other monetary benefits.
