Currently we are seeking to appoint a Chef to work at either our Fremantle or Cockburn sites.
Cockburn Health is a contemporary 75 bed Mental Health Hospital which opened on 5th August 2024. This is a modern and welcoming facility where you will experience being part of a compassionate and supportive team.
Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the preparation and production of nutritional, well-presented meals and in liaison with the Catering Coordinator, Chef Lead and Dietitian; develop recipes and maintain safe food hygiene in the Catering department at FSH Cockburn Health.
Minimum Requirements:
* Trade certificate in relevant discipline, or recent substantial experience as a Chef.
* Demonstrated knowledge of dietary requirements and snack preparation.
* Demonstrates ability to deliver a high standard of meal preparation and food delivery service.
* Effective organisational and time management skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles in the workplace.
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
