You'll also have access to continuing education and development opportunities, allowing you to grow your career, all while working to improve community health outcomes and wellbeing.Service:Community Mental Health TeamThe Community Mental Health Teams are located at both Port Augusta and Whyalla, providing specialised one-to-one counselling, group work, care coordination, and health promotional activities to promote mental, emotional, physical, and social health and wellbeing.About the Role:The Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist (OT) is a seasoned and highly skilled clinician responsible for delivering Occupational Therapy services within Flinders and Upper North LHN Mental Health (MH) in a multidisciplinary setting. They play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and safety of Mental Health services, particularly focusing on subacute care, and supporting the recovery of mental health consumers in rural and remote areas of South Australia (SA).In addition to their clinical duties, the Clinical Senior OT serves as a mentor and supervisor, providing guidance and professional support to MH Occupational Therapy professionals and students, with a specialized emphasis on subacute care. They lead by example in maintaining high clinical standards and practices within the LHN MH, holding portfolios that drive expertise development and service enhancements in Occupational Therapy.As a regional clinical leader, the Clinical Senior OT represents local teams, regions, and LHN MH on various committees, and may lead or contribute to relevant projects. This role allocates 70% of time to local clinical and leadership responsibilities, and 30% to Occupational Therapy leadership, portfolio management, and supervision matters.About You:Must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and as a regulated profession be eligible for full registration as an Occupational Therapist within Australia.Provide complex clinical and consultancy services as a Rural Generalist or within a specific discipline in the LHN Mental Health sector.Demonstrate clinical competence and advanced reflective-practice skills while adopting new techniques.Utilize in-depth understanding of LHN goals and operations to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.Offer guidance on service development and redesign to align with demand and consumer needs.Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)Applicant Information:The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
