Lookers Newcastle Nissan are recruiting for a Mechanic / Technician to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs.

Currently recruiting for all levels of Technicians to join our growing team: Prep / PDI TechnicianService TechnicianMOT TesterMechanicSenior Tech / Diagnostic TechMaster TechnicianResponsibilitiesCarrying out pre-delivery inspections on New sales vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and fixing any minor repairsCarrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technologyConducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines and customer requestsCarrying out any additional repairs once authorized by the customerWarranty repairs as per the manufacturer's guidelines with relevant write-up completedTaking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectifiedCompleting all relevant paperwork to a high standardQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. You'll be self-motivated while being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest standards for all vehicles that come through our doors.
Although previous brand experience is desirable, it is not essential, as brand accreditation training will be provided. Diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience is also desirable but not essential.
The salary range for this vacancy is between £30,000 for a recently qualified Technician up to £39,000 for a Master Technician, plus an additional £2,000 for EV qualification.
