A Mt Isa-based Family Support Worker position, working in the Bridge program.

Your new company is a not-for-profit organisation that provides multiple community services programs to regional QLD. This position is based in Mt Isa.
Your new role
* Provide early intervention family support, strategies, and information to CALD individuals and families, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Assist families in applying parenting and household skills from the BRIDGE program.
* Support families to enhance child care and safety at home.
* Contribute to community education, group activities, and support services as per program requirements.
* Maintain case management records, data entry, and documentation within agency guidelines.
* Build and sustain relationships with community, government, and non-government services.
* Engage in line management meetings, professional development, supervision, team meetings, and staff days.
What you'll need to succeed
* Qualifications relating to the human services field, or community development.
* Previous experience in a similar role using a strength-based framework in early intervention family support.
* Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society and/or experience working with CALD people.
* Demonstrated experience and skills in conducting safety and risk assessments with vulnerable families.
* Current open driver's licence.
* Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening (or ability to obtain).
