This role will see you join an organisation that values a positive contemporary attitude to disability.About the role:Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:Informing policy decisions, particularly for pricing and market interventions, by using economic research and analysis.Providing support through economic research and investigation in the development and implementation of the Annual Pricing Review and Pricing Strategy.Reviewing and analysing economic data to support evidence-based decision making on complex economic pricing policies.Leading the development of provider performance metrics and sector monitoring dashboards to better understand sector conditions.Planning and leading ad hoc economic analysis and research requests.Working collaboratively across teams and departments – including other Government Departments.Contributing to branch leadership to build a positive and high performing team culture.Skills and experience required:Superior analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to tackle complex economic issues.Ability to synthesise complex information and translate findings into succinct policy narratives.Sound judgement, decision-making, and governance skills.A postgraduate degree in economics and econometrics, or similar.Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.Experience developing and implementing analytical frameworks to monitor policy and program impacts.Passionate about working within the disability sector and positively improving the lives of individuals and their families.As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, only Australian Citizens need to apply.Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks, including National Criminal History Check upon successful appointment.If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to hear from you!
