About the role
As a Software Developer (.NET ) you will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of our core systems and positively contribute to the team and the organisation as a whole.
Other key areas of responsibilities will include:
1. Developing a working knowledge of the software architecture and how it supports the business goals;
2. Designing, developing, maintaining and supporting highly coherent, secure and testable .NET code;
3. Implementing automated tests (unit, integration etc);
4. Actively contributing to the Agile environment in which GP AU/NZ operate:
5. Staying abreast of the advances in the technology domains they relates to good software design, development and release practices;
6. Collaborating with the business and other practice members to ensure adequate and effective documentation of applications, processes and business rules;
7. Providing assistance to service support teams to assist with troubleshooting issues and incident management when required.

You will also bring:
8. Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in software development;
9. Strong skills in the .NET framework (.NET, .NET Core), specifically C#;
10. Significant experience in the design and deployment of cloud based API’s;
11. Understanding of Microsoft SQL databases and development best practices applicable to each platform.
12. Preferably experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. relational databases such as AWS RDS or GCP Cloud Spanner and NoSQL databases such as AWS DynamoDB or GCP Cloud Datastore);
13. A clear understanding of web technologies and how to leverage their features;
14. Demonstrable experience in secure software development environments where threat modelling and penetration testing are in use;
15. A high level of written and verbal communication skills;
16. Analytical, conceptual and a problem solving growth based mindset;
17. Degree in Information technology or equivalent experience.
