In this role, you will help to coordinate and source the supply of materials (domestically and internationally) for our production teams. A key focus will be accountability for achieving cost of goods savings through the continuous review of pricing, quality and suppliers both locally and internationally to create a cost-effective and sustainable supply chain to meet production requirements.This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in the purchasing of ingredients for fresh food production, often with short lead times, so being across available suppliers locally and internationally would be an advantage.Key responsibilities:Raising orders, liaising with freight forwarders, validating, approving and entering invoices and calculating landed costsMaintain adequate stock levels according to production forecast/usageSourcing & setting up new Business Partners (Suppliers) and items in the ERP systemManagement of master data to ensure accurate recordsEstablish/maintain supplier relationships and evaluate and report on performanceIdentify and implement cost savings to reduce operational costsSupport new product development when requiredSourcing of adhoc items when requiredOther duties as directed and within the incumbent’s skills and abilitiesThe Successful Candidate:Diploma or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain and Logistics desiredMinimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement within a food manufacturing environmentExperience in procuring and sourcing goods, preferably in FMCG and/or ManufacturingPast experience in interacting with Freight Forwarders and managing invoices from Freight Forwarders is highly regardedMicrosoft Office 365 knowledgeStrong administration and Excel skillsPrior experience with an ERP system in a similar role is highly regardedProven ability to manage working relationships across production, planning, and warehouse operationsStrong planning and organisational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good numerical abilityAbility to work under pressureA team playerApplicants must be able to work in Australia without any ongoing work restrictions.Please note only short-listed candidates will be contacted.If you want to be a part of this world-class team, apply now!We look forward to hearing from you!
