Reporting to the Regional Safety Coordinator, you will have full autonomy in driving safety culture and compliance across operational sites and be a key leader in implementing change. Working closely with frontline teams and being a core contributor within the broader HSW team, you will lead HSE performance improvements through alignment and delivery of Fenner initiatives and programs. This position requires a problem solver with superb communication abilities and an unwavering commitment to safe practices. Key Responsibilities Include: Collaborating with leadership and team members to drive a positive health and safety culture, emphasizing safe behaviours and practices. Proactively identifying improvement opportunities and implementing preventive measures to enhance safety standards. Supporting and leading incident investigations, ensuring the implementation of corrective actions, and handling associated administrative tasks, including supporting Return to Work procedures. Coordinating safety inspections, risk assessments, training compliance activities, and WHS consultation arrangements with the support of leadership. Assisting with procedural development, tendering submissions, and safety meeting facilitation. Working with local and national divisional teams on relevant projects, campaigns, and best practice development. Maintaining a strong site presence to ensure workforce engagement and strong customer relationships. A Little About You: We are looking for a Health & Safety professional that considers themselves a team player - a motivated, proactive self-starter with a passion for problem-solving and engaging the workforce to create a safer workplace from the ground up. The following skills and experience are key to your success: 2-5 years' experience within a similar position, in a similar industry. Qualification in Health & Safety (min Cert IV WHS), or equivalent. Sound knowledge of NSW WHS legislation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and build respectful relationships at all levels. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage dynamic workloads. Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail. Experience with incident investigation (using ICAM (preferred), RCA, etc). Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic team. Digitally proficient including sound Microsoft Office skills. Capacity to travel when required and work reasonable overtime. Additionally, the following experience would be viewed favorably: Safety Auditing qualifications. Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE). ICAM incident investigation training. First Aid and D&A testing certification. Working knowledge of safety systems used by principal mining companies in NSW. What's in it for you?
