Job Description
You will play a crucial role in providing technical guidance for the Sonar OSS/BSS platforms within Engineering. This hands-on position involves developing new features that align with our business objectives and customer needs. You will focus on enhancing engineering practices, coaching team members to improve agile processes, and providing technical direction for key projects and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include leading technical decisions across projects, overseeing solutioning, development, deployment, and support of our OSS/BSS platforms. These platforms are integral to provisioning and managing our global voice/data network, specifically in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
After-Hours Support: This role includes participation in the team's after-hours support roster (level 3), which rotates weekly for critical production platforms. We prioritize resilient and self-healing platforms, and your leadership will ensure that necessary efforts are made to achieve this goal.
Qualifications
What you'll need to succeed:
2. Hands-on experience in Java development spanning over ten years.
3. Holds a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or possesses equivalent extensive practical experience.
4. Demonstrates leadership in successfully driving technical initiatives.
5. Proficient in developing and maintaining large-scale applications using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, with expertise in message brokers including ActiveMQ and Kafka.
6. Skilled in utilizing AWS or other cloud technologies and proficient with relational databases.
7. Expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to streamline development processes.
8. Takes ownership of technical projects with a commitment to enhancing engineering practices.
9. Familiarity with React JS, Golang, or Terraform is advantageous.
10. Committed to automating manual processes to enhance efficiency.
11. Actively pursues continuous learning to stay abreast of evolving technologies.
12. Possesses a curious, tenacious, and creative mindset, excelling as a collaborative team player.
