In this role, you will strategically source opportunities, develop and maintain relationships, and ensure as a business specialist delivers your commitment to offering quality equipment and solutions accompanied with full support backed by our team.
About the role
Reporting to the company's Regional Manager (Regional Director), with a dotted line to the General Manager. The role's key accountabilities will be:
1. Identifying and converting appropriate business opportunities for the company;
2. Monitoring the mining and construction equipment market;
3. Actively pursuing direct sales leads;
4. Proactively maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing partnerships and developing new relationships with prospective clientele;
5. Presenting quotations and proposals to new and existing clients;
6. Inputting into key strategies to win tenders and expressions of interest in conjunction with key managers;
7. Working closely with the service team to ensure customers' expectations are met;
8. Seeking and executing sales targets in line with business objectives;
9. Using marketing tools to secure new business and interest;
10. Collaborating with the team to ensure marketing & business strategy is geared towards growth.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven track record and experience in sales or business development from related industries (mining, earthmoving, etc.);
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
* Exceptional customer engagement and relationship development skills;
* Self-motivation and excellent time management skills;
* Strong technical / project management skills;
* Ability to travel.
