It is one of the most exciting times to join the Subway team and contribute to our transformational journey.About the Role:The FSQA Manager supports the supply management process to ensure the assigned product categories comply with all Subway quality & food safety requirements and regulatory standards. In addition to ensuring compliance to Subway standards, this role also provides ongoing guidance to the cross-functional teams to ensure understanding of FSQA guidelines.If you feel that this is the role for you, and you are successful with your application, be ready to be Bold, Empowered, Accountable, and ready to have Fun in a fast-paced and agile working environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Food Safety Management: Lead and direct continued implementation of best-in-class global food safety and supplier management processes and systems, ensuring suppliers meet Subway FSQA expectations as well as all local/federal food safety regulations. Provide expertise, support, and guidance to internal and external partners in resolving complex food safety challenges. Lead the food safety approval of new vendors/products and disqualification of non-compliant vendors. Assist in the strategic development of programs and systems to ensure the strictest standards of safety and quality are upheld.Quality Assurance/Management (Produce, Processed Produce): Execute monitoring of performance of suppliers and ensure compliance to specification and Subway Programs in conjunction with Procurement, Operations. Utilize root cause analysis to drive immediate resolution on issues identified through consumer or franchisee complaints or internal and supplier evaluations. Ensure all products meet Legislative requirements in the County of Origin and Country of Usage. Investigate serious breaches of specification-product safety, legality, and quality. Ensure corrective and preventative action is taken, details recorded, and product is monitored for repeat occurrences. Manage graphics process for all products to ensure compliance with Subway Graphics policies. Maintain the approved product list.New Product Development/Existing Product Development (Produce/Processed Produce): Supports the Culinary team with new product development by providing guidance on food safety and quality aspects, serving as the reference for cross-functional teams. Lead existing product development projects such as product match, onboarding new plants/suppliers, and cost-saving initiatives, working closely with IPC, Culinary, and Marketing teams. Oversee manufacturing commercialization and all aspects related to the local suppliers.Incident Management: Act as subject matter expert for the BU Incident Management team and collaborate with other functions (IPC, PR, Customer Care, Legal) to resolve restaurant- and customer-based food safety and quality complaints.
