- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments for children and adults.
- Identify and evaluate dental problems and needs. Preventive Care:
- Provide preventive dental care such as fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and scaling.
- Develop and implement individualized oral health plans based on assessment results. Patient Education:
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
- Provide guidance on managing dental anxiety. Treatment Procedures:
- Perform restorative work such as fillings and simple extractions, if permitted by scope of practice.
- Administer local anesthesia and provide pain management techniques as required. Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient interactions. Collaboration:
- Work in collaboration with dentists, dental hygienists, and other health professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Refer patients to dental specialists when necessary. Community Engagement:
- Participate in community outreach programs and health education initiatives to promote oral health awareness.
- Conduct screenings and health education sessions in schools and community centers. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor in oral health therapy or related field from an accredited university. License/Certification: A valid license to practice as an Oral Health Therapist, in accordance with state regulations. Radiography license. Working with children check. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficient in using dental software and tools. About Us:
