YOUR NEW ROLE
The purpose of the role is to effectively utilise all security related systems to proactively monitor the Sydney Opera House precinct for early threat detection in order to allow for the provision of a safe and secure physical environment. Furthermore, the role is responsible for assisting with the coordination of the appropriate response to all security, fire, medical and emergency incidents that may occur onsite.
ARE YOU THE ONE?
Key Responsibilities/skills:
* Demonstrated operational experience within a security control room environment within a high profile or high public visitation site.
* Demonstrated experience utilising a range of security related systems particular in regards to Video Management Systems and Electronic Access Control.
* Experience in delivering security or related services within heightened level of threat and experience of a multitude of security incident types and responses and in liaising with outside security agencies and emergency services.
* Current Class 1 AC Security Licence, a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and a Senior First Aid Certificate.
* Display excellent verbal and written communication skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills, as well as strong administrative and report writing skills.
* The ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster pattern.
* Ability to make sound decisions in complex environments that have the potential to jeopardise the safety and integrity of the building.
* A valid WWCC clearance.
