About You
You're not just an engineer—you're a confident communicator and strategic thinker who enjoys solving engineering challenges while working with people.
You are comfortable presenting to architects and technical experts, influencing design choices, and ensuring the successful application of mechanical solutions.
The Role
As a Solutions Engineer (Mechanical), you will bridge engineering with real-world applications, working closely with fabricators, resellers & business partners, architects, and certifying bodies to ensure our products meet performance, compliance, and usability standards.
Your role will be a mix of technical consulting, training, product development, and industry engagement.
Some Key Responsibilities:
Work with R&D to gather real-world feedback, driving product improvements and innovation.
Provide technical expertise to business partners, helping them integrate and optimise our hardware solutions.
Deliver training and presentations, including CPD workshops, technical briefings, and consultation sessions for architects, engineers, and industry professionals.
Identify and assess new technologies to enhance product design, application, and industry competitiveness.
Ensure compliance with Australian and international standards, liaising with certifying bodies and regulatory organisations.
Represent CiiLOCK at industry forums, trade shows, and technical committees to strengthen our presence and influence.
Work closely with fabricators to resolve complex engineering challenges related to installation and performance.
Develop technical documentation, including product specifications, application guidelines, and marketing materials.
Support business growth by identifying new partnership opportunities in Australia and international markets.
What You Need
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering or Science field.
Strong problem-solving ability in mechanical product development, compliance, or technical consulting.
Exceptional communication skills—the ability to confidently engage with technical and non-technical audiences.
Industry experience in manufacturing, hardware, or building materials is highly regarded.
A high level of professional English proficiency, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively engage with clients, industry professionals, and regulatory bodies.
This is a critical requirement.
Experience in SolidWorks 3D modelling is beneficial.
