About the role
The Library are looking for a Library Promotions Coordinator to join their team.
Exercise your promotions and communications excellence in developing promotional programs that showcase the Library. We are seeking a creative professional to join the Library as a Promotions Coordinator. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our profile, reach, and reputation by planning, developing and oversighting implementation of innovative content and strategies to highlight the broad range and excellent assistance available to students and staff of Western Sydney University.
You will manage communication channels, measure performance of promotional activities, and craft compelling copy across various formats, including social media. Your leadership and active collaboration across the Library and wider university will help build awareness, encourage engagement, and celebrate the events the Library provides to enhance student success.
As Promotions Coordinator, you will lead a small team and work collaboratively with the Leadership team and other key stakeholders. You will craft high-quality messages for diverse channels and publications, be involved in project management for campaigns, and ensure promotions are targeted, professional and engaging. Your role will involve continuous improvement by measuring communication performance, conducting post-campaign analyses, and staying abreast of the evolving student and university landscape to best engage all clients. Additionally, you will maintain professional relationships with various university units to deliver timely and effective communications, ensuring any issues are promptly escalated.
About You
The successful candidate will have extensive experience and training in a large and complex organisation. They will possess a high level of knowledge and understanding of project management, with the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and events effectively. They must be adept at handling competing priorities and unexpected events, exercising sound judgment to meet deadlines. Exceptional written communication skills are essential, including the ability to produce detailed reports, prepare promotional materials, and write project briefs. The candidate will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, with strong consultation and facilitation abilities, and the capacity to articulate complex issues clearly and succinctly. Additionally, they will have well-developed organisational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with a proven track record of using initiative and independent judgment to develop strategies and sustainable programs.
