DESCRIPTION
If you are an undergraduate Science or Health student looking to jump start your career, we are offering a 13-month full time or part time internship based at either our Scoresby, Brisbane or Perth office. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time commencing 28th January 2025. In this role you will provide technical support on health, safety and environmental to production and site personnel under the guidance of the HSE leaders. Assists in the review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
About You:
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
* Are currently studying a Bachelor degree in applied sciences or similar (for example but not exclusively, Applied Science Occupational Health and Safety, Health Sciences, Ergonomics, Human Factors or other related discipline, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering).
* Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2025
* Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration.
Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will possess skills/abilities or be able to perform:
* Gathers and examines evidence relating to HSE incidents by participating in investigations in order to define the root cause of the event.
* Risk Assessment – Identifies and evaluates hazards within the work environment.
* Demonstrate self-awareness.
* Collaborates – Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
* Action Oriented – taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
This is a 13-month, full time or part time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS
In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Supporting the Environment and Sustainability Leader APAC in executing the Asia Pacific goal tree and work program, as well as supporting the Asia Pacific HSE team.
* Assists in reporting any work-related injury, illness, HSE incident or hazard through internal reporting processes.
* Gather data for the analysis of HSE related trends and performance.
* Assist in delivery of HSE objectives and targets.
* Coordinate HSE training and assists training facilitators.
