The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

At the APS5 level, the Home and Living Division are currently seeking to fill the following roles across two of their branches;
• APS5 Project Officer – Home and Living Capital Branch

• APS5 Project Officer – Home and Living Reform Branch
These roles are available in Parramatta, NSW, Adelaide, SA, Geelong & Richmond, VIC
• APS5 SDA Dwelling Enrolment Officers
This role is available in Geelong & Richmond, VIC

The Home and Living Capital Branch in the Home and Living Division sets the strategic direction, develops long-term plans, and implements strategies in the Home and Living capital market (Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Medium-term Accommodation (MTA) and Home Modifications (HM)).
The Home and Living Reform Branch is responsible for the overarching strategy for the Home and Living Reform Program, and for coordinating home and living reform activity across the Agency. The branch is accountable for developing the overarching strategy and workplan for cross-agency Home and Living reform. The branch collaborates with relevant business areas in the Agency delivering program-level workplan reporting, monitoring and evaluation establishing governance protocols for cross-agency work, including providing secretariat functions for any important Home and Living governance functions that are established.

You’re a dedicated professional with
• analysis and problem-solving skills, sound judgement and ability to think strategically,
• well-developed written, interpersonal and representational skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders,
• project and/or Program management experience, and
• demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team.
APS5 SDA Dwelling Enrolment Officer
You’re a dedicated professional with
• understanding of NDIS legislation with particular focus on Specialist Disability Accommodation,
• analysis and problem-solving skills, sound judgement and ability to think strategically,
• well-developed written, interpersonal and representational skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders,
• strong organisational skills and independent decision-making abilities (where appropriate),
• demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team.

While these roles are ideally performed in the locations noted above, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill these roles in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
