The Opportunity The Boeing C-17 Program supports a world class heavy transport aircraft, the Boeing C-17A Globemaster III. The role will be required to work in a dynamic integrated program team based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD. BDA is looking for an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to join the Engineering Strategy & Ops team. We are focused on creating Engineering excellence through diversity, culture, and strategic initiatives that will enable the workforce. In this role you will join a team of Configuration and Data Management specialists to manage all aspects of the program's product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes and current approved configuration to support program execution. This role is based in RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. Responsiblities Assist with updating Configuration Management plans, processes and procedures, in accordance with standards, regulations, business and contractual requirements Perform lifecycle management of engineering changes including participation in the Configuration Control Boards Prepare and participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required Prepare and deliver configuration reports to support the C17 program Assist with the alignment of the program's Engineering and Configuration Management processes with Boeing processes and practices Effectively interface with project team members and customers to support the operation of the platform Experience/Qualifications Formal Configuration Management training / certification is desired A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within a related aviation or production industry Knowledge and understanding of industry configuration management standards such as ANSI/EIA-649 and MIL-HDBK-61 Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-disciplinary team Working knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool Eligibility Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
