Associate Director - Communications and Engagement
Central West NSW (Dubbo, Orange and surrounds)
Our Insights, Communication and Creative teamis seeking a highly experienced Associate Director to join our communications and engagement practice. As a key member of the team, you’ll use your extensive network and experience to help deliver one of NSW’s largest infrastructure projects.
Confidently pragmatic, you’ll leverage your extensive experience to help our client engage with their stakeholders and communities, lead projects and mentor our talented team of communications professionals.
It’s a great opportunity for a senior engagement practitioner with ten years plus proven experience in communications, engagement and social advisory to be part of a growing team and make a mark on Australia’s energy transition.
You will be part of a dynamic, diverse, supportive and tight-knit team that prides itself on solving the problems that matter.
About You
You will have demonstrated experience (10+ years) in developing and delivering communication, consultation and community relations strategies, and responding to issues associated with the planning and delivery of infrastructure, you will also:
1. Live, or willing to relocate, to Central West NSW (namely Dubbo, Orange or immediate surrounds)
2. Experience working in the infrastructure sector
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to write clearly and edit accurately to publish quality, easily understood information for internal and external audiences with the ability to effectively communicate, in plain English, complex concepts to diverse audiences
4. A demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work co-operatively with people at all levels to achieve outcomes, including construction environments
5. Experience managing people
6. Experience managing challenging stakeholders and issues management
7. Good negotiation and liaison skills with an interest or experience in facilitation
8. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Good teamwork skills and ability to work well under pressure, be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
10. An understanding for the need for discretion when dealing with confidential matters
This role can be as a temporary 6 month position with possibility of extension, or through a contracting arrangement.
