Working across primary and secondary year levels, Good Samaritan Catholic College is seeking to appoint Instrumental Music Tutors – Strings and Voice, to work with students and join the Good Sams dedicated music program. As the successful applicant, you will be and/or possess specializations in the following:
* Ability to teach group (2) and individual lessons
* Knowledge of, and a willingness to prepare students for external music examinations is required (AMEB and / or Trinity)
* Additional highly desirable skills include – ability to lead a primary choir (grades 3 – 6)
The successful applicant will be:
* Qualified (with a degree in music and / or education) and / or have appropriate teaching experience within a school environment
* Pro-active, enthusiastic and have skills to inspire and nurture the musical aspirations of motivated students from Prep to Year 12
* Skilled to teach in a variety of musical styles appropriate to the instrument
* Literate with technology, show initiative, be organised, prepared and accountable
* Willing to connect, contribute and work as part of a team
* The ability to teach music theory and any other musical instruments would be an advantage
Tuition fees are collected by the school and the successful applicant will be guided by the conditions outlined in the BCE position description, school position statement and school officer award. Performances, meetings, reporting, extra-curricular activities and involvement with school ensembles is required.

* be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
* have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
