We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Manager, Regulatory Economics, to lead nbn's Legal and Regulatory team.
This role will report directly to the General Manager Regulatory Economics & Legal.
This key position will contribute significantly to shaping nbn's regulatory environment, driving the company's strategic objectives, and maximizing value as nbn continues its mission.
About Your Role
* Lead the development of long-term regulatory economic strategies that align with nbn's overarching goals.
* Take on leadership responsibilities and act as a delegate when necessary, owning critical portfolios and making impactful decisions.
* Work closely with business colleagues to foster a deep understanding of nbn's regulatory environment and offer proactive, practical advice on navigating regulatory requirements.
* Engage with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) on key regulatory economic matters, responding to requests for information and providing comprehensive reporting.
* Shape nbn's long-term regulatory framework, identify opportunities to reform and improve regulatory policies, and advocate for favorable regulatory change to ensure nbn's success.
About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* A strong regulatory background, particularly in economics, with experience in infrastructure industries such as Telecommunications, Energy, or Water.
* Subject matter expertise with deep technical knowledge and experience across economic and policy aspects of regulation.
* Strategic thinking and proven project management capabilities.
* The ability to drive regulatory strategies that align with the company's broader goals, especially in areas with financially material impacts.
* Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, delivering clear and impactful messages.
