Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our hotel team in Proserpine QLD.
The Role:
* Prepare, cook and present dishes according to our standards.
* Create menus with flair and innovation, considering our stock, season and patron preferences.
* Ensure patron satisfaction by delivering dishes to expectation.
* Monitor stock levels and order accordingly to ensure cost-effectiveness.
* Monitor food preservation and rotation to minimize wastage.
* Assist and train kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredients.
* Aid in the selection and training of kitchen staff.
* Manage kitchen staff.
* Ensure health regulations are met at all times.
Requirements
1. AQF Diploma in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent, plus 2 years' experience in a similar role.
2. Superior work ethic.
3. Ability to work under pressure.
4. Team player.
