The Team Manager plays a key role in leading and inspiring a team of Business Bankers to meet their potential whilst delivering successful customer outcomes. Using your ability to coach, mentor, and engage both your team and our clients, you will focus on growing quality business across diverse business markets. You will work with a strong performing team with excellent growth potential and will have oversight across our thriving and diverse customer base. More specifically, you will: Build a high-performance culture (i.e., technical and strategic) within the team, motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service and deliver on BB's strategy to grow commercial lending. Build a strong credit and operational risk culture by professionally executing and driving risk management improvement and capability for the team and network. Have demonstrated a track record of sustained outperformance in prior roles. Thoroughly understand the local business environment and identify opportunities to ensure Small Business Banking originates profitable new business and executes the appropriate marketing and risk management strategies for our customer in conjunction with internal business partners. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners, using opportunity identification skills to develop a strong pipeline for yourself and the team. Assess team performance, identify capability or capacity gaps, and prioritize coaching and development opportunities. Perform team administrative functions. We want to hear from you if you have: Experience in successfully building and leading a successful Commercial lending portfolio. Experience in business banking. A deep understanding of banking products and services. Sound financial analysis and credit skills, with a strong understanding of financial documents and the underlying cash-flow drivers. A real passion for customer service and driving new business. A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce would be highly regarded.
