Job Description Location: Southwest Sydney Salary Package: $130K-$140K Super Parking onsite Role Highlights: 12m FTC with potential for perm; highly visible; drive accuracy and reliability in project and CAPEX reporting Role Overview This is a senior finance role supporting the Financial Controller in an environment of growth and change. As the Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and manage the reporting for CAPEX and the Balance sheet. The role will have a start-up flavour to it in that it’s extremely hands-on yet provides the incoming Finance Manager a brilliant opportunity to create value right from day 1. The role has been created with the recognition of the importance of ensuring accurate and timely reporting on the Capex projects and is a critical business partner to the project managers. This Finance Manager will be the Finance lead on Capex projects whilst managing and reporting on project budgets, forecasting and ensuring visibility on Cost to Complete for existing projects. Full management of the fixed assets register will also rest with this finance manager. Strong project and property experience will allow you to add value from the start. Responsibilities Project creation &tracking Maintenance and management of capex reporting Partnering with key stakeholders and project owners to monitor spend to date and forecast cashflow Maintenance and regular update of accounting and tax depreciation schedules Preparation of PPE and capital commitments note for financial reporting. Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile general ledger for allocated legal entities Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations Review accuracy of reporting by outsourced service providers and highlight and resolve issues Accounting for loans and derivatives Lease accounting Line by line review and analysis of monthly results with explanations for material movements and irregularities Debt covenant calculations Preparation of FBT calculation and return Assist with year end audit, including provision of information to auditors Actively highlight issues for discussion with manager Cross training with Finance team members Other ad hoc tasks from time to time Candidate Profile You are highly energetic and detail-orientated, with experience in commercial real estate or infrastructure projects. CPA/CA qualified and manage Fixed Assets and CAPEX reporting. You are a seasoned Finance Manager with leasing and project accounting experience looking to take the next step in your career. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are a strong driver for positive change. Your personality is energetic and you have robust influencing skills. You feel comfortable challenging and managing stakeholders through your effective and influential communication style.
