The Asia Pacific Pole Engineering Director is responsible for leading the engineering function across the six regions of Honeywell's Asia Pacific Pole, which include Pacific, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong/Taiwan, China, Korea, and India. This role involves overseeing the establishment and management of consistent engineering structures, ensuring the effective allocation of resources, and maintaining workforce readiness. The director will be accountable for all aspects of engineering resourcing, scheduling, design, and implementation of solutions. The role requires setting and maintaining standards, processes, and career paths for the engineering community while contributing to and aligning with global engineering initiatives. Key responsibilities include driving productivity and quality, managing technical risks, and supporting profitable business growth. The position also involves representing the Asia Pacific Pole in global engineering leadership teams and programs, developing regional staff initiatives, and fostering engineering excellence through continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Establish and lead consistent Pole, Regional, and District engineering structures to support business objectives at each level. Coach, mentor, and link with Regional Engineering Managers and those within Global Engineering and Technology Centers (GES and HTS) to drive best practices. Drive Engineering planning, coordination, resource assignment, and execution for the Projects LOB including Design, Configuration, Commissioning, Customer Acceptance, and Handover. Full responsibility and accountability for Strategy, Leadership, and Tactical Management of additional groups under the AP Engineering Functional umbrella, including Technical Support (TAC), Custom Software Applications Development, Technical Training, and Product Management teams. Represent the AP Pole on the Global Engineering Leadership team, Project Council, Solution Core Execution Teams, and NPI programs. Develop engineering functional input to Honeywell core processes (STRAP, AOP, and MRR). Sponsor and direct regional staff development initiatives including Apprentice, Graduate Engineering, and Technical Excellence programs. Lead the identification, development, deployment, and maintenance of engineering processes, procedures, and tools to reduce technical risk and lower costs through engineering excellence, standardization, innovation, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. Create and sponsor programs to attract, develop, recognize, and retain key engineering talent within the Pole, including individual engineers and engineering leader career paths. Leverage subject matter expertise and linkage within the regional engineering teams. Manage the TRR process and deploy technical risk mitigation actions during sales and delivery phases, including approvals and auditing as required. Drive initiatives to improve skills, talent identification, and mobility in the engineering organization. Provide direction and business consultancy to GES remote engineering to ensure seamless integration with local engineering teams and ensure engineering deliverables meet customer requirements. Identify future technical and industry trends and develop engineering capabilities to meet those future market needs. Experience: Minimum 10 years of engineering leadership experience. Experience in change management. Strong knowledge and understanding of Honeywell's product offerings and solutions. Well-developed project management skills. Proven track record of delivery and success in problem-solving and process change/improvement. Ability to work effectively across a large geographic spread in a diverse and sometimes virtual/remote engineering group environment. Cross-cultural experience preferred. Qualifications: Engineering and/or Business Degree qualifications. Project Management Professional certification or equivalent (preferred).
