Geraldton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to join our leadership team in the position of Deputy Principal.

Your skills and experience should enable you to lead activities across Years 7 to 12 policy, process and procedure when required and complement other Deputy Principal roles in the school.

About the role:
Deputy Principals at Geraldton SHS work collaboratively within a framework of negotiated areas of responsibility. The successful applicant will work closely with the Principal as part of the school’s Executive Team to provide educational leadership, innovation, strategic planning, and promotion of the school’s vision and values with the school community.
To be successful in the role you should be highly motivated, and energetic and possess the qualities needed to bring people together, identify opportunities and establish new initiatives. You should exhibit effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and maintain positive partnerships and collaborate effectively with others.
An advanced knowledge of student services processes, as well as managing students with complex needs and disability, contemporary instructional and pedagogical techniques and the ability to build the leadership capacity of Program Coordinators (Head of Learning Area and Student Services) through coaching and mentoring, will be highly regarded.
