Wood is currently recruiting a Principal Process Engineer with relevant design expertise in Brownfields Oil & Gas projects to join our global Operations business. This engagement is a permanent opportunity to support the expansion of the Operations business.
Wood’s “Operations” APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Southeast Asia.
You will be suitably qualified in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution and have:
1. 15+ years design engineering related experience within the Oil & Gas production industry
2. An ability to apply the relevant theories, codes and standards appropriate to process discipline
3. An ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements
4. Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
5. Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore
6. Demonstrated experience in managing teams
7. Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs
8. A “solutions mindset” and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
9. Experienced in the participation of HAZOP, HAZID and SIL rating studies - essential
10. Familiar with HYSYS, Dynamic HYSYS – preferred
