Company Description Every institution values excellence.What matters most is why.Griffith was created to be a different type of university.You'll find we're about leading research, academic excellence, and the transformative power of education.But what sets us apart is why those things matter and how you'll achieve them.Why?Griffith brings together exceptional minds like yours from across the globe and from all walks of life.Here, we do incredible work, questioning and challenging, always in the pursuit of excellence.Job Description Compounds Australia provides services critical to the Australian drug discovery research sector, accelerating translational research by providing access to high value compound libraries, specialist infrastructure, and compound management expertise.The national facility is hosted within Griffith University's Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics, which comprises more than 400 researchers and professional staff who are dedicated to the development of novel therapies, vaccines and diagnostics for diseases of global impact and the translation of new solutions to improve human health.At Compounds Australia, the Technical Officer will support drug discovery research across Australia by facilitating delivery of fee-for-service activities for users, including provision of assay-ready microplates and management of compound libraries (including submission and reformats).The Technical Officer will receive training in high end automation and liquid handling, enabling skills development across the entire laboratory-based workflow of Compounds Australia.Key responsibilities of this position include: Provide operational support for the submission and reformat of sample libraries into Compounds Australia and the provision of fee-for-service assay microplates for facility users.With broad supervision and training, the appointee will modify, setup and implement sample processing protocols on the robot and liquid handling platforms to meet user's sample requests in a timely fashion.Work collaboratively with other members of the Compounds Australia Operations Team to ensure the completion of work requests and engagement with national users across a multi-disciplinary research environment.About you The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in science or technology;
