This opportunity
The Strategic Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering large complex sales primarily across the top 200 ASX listed Enterprise segment. The role focus will be the development of a key pool of strategic target prospects, leading the sales strategy and tiger team to support the sales effort.
Responsibilities
1. Manage long term complex sales cycles.
2. Provide deal leadership to virtual ‘tiger’ team supporting sales pursuits.
3. Manage multiple internal and external stakeholders and drive executive engagement.
4. Develop and manage complex pricing and legal requirements.
5. Provide insight lead thought leadership to influence decision making.
6. Develop and maintain complex ‘opportunity planning’ models
7. Achieve key monthly, quarterly, and annual new business sales objectives.
8. Maintain up to date and accurate customer contact, pipeline and any other required information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, i.e., Salesforce.
Attend weekly sales team meetings to.
9. Review quality and accuracy of Salesforce pipeline
10. Review week on week sales activity and key pipeline movements
11. Agree kick off and approach to any upcoming tenders and opportunities.
12. Review status of all active tenders
13. Review short- and long-term Customer relationship quality and key relationship development activities.
14. Review open customer issues, actively assisting in resolutions and ensuring timely escalation (e.g. to Sales Leadership) wherever required
Knowledge and experience
15. Strong technical skills and experience across Telecommunications and Managed Services (network, cyber security and cloud).
16. Ability to proactively identify and create new business growth opportunities.
17. Exceptional complex enterprise selling skills and experience.
18. Excellent communication skills at all levels, including at C level
19. Ideally have a strong list of contacts
20. Knowledge and understanding of sales strategies when selling into Top end enterprise segment.
21. Substantial experience in a comparable position
22. Excellent presentation skills.
23. Confident managing high value business portfolios (multi-million-dollar opportunity pipelines)
