The Role
1. Fortnightly Payroll: Manage payroll for 500 employees with timesheets from two different time and attendance systems.
2. Salary Sacrifice Benefits: Administer and reconcile employee salary sacrifice benefits, Workcover, and child support, ensuring compliance with administration procedures.
3. EOY Wage Reconciliation & STP Reporting: Prepare end-of-year wage reconciliation and Single Touch Payroll reporting.
4. Award and EBA Management: Work with seven different modern awards and two enterprise bargaining agreements (EBA), with variations in pay and allowances between different departments. The People & Culture team will assist with award interpretations.
5. Automation and Data Analysis: The environment is quite automated, focusing more on analyzing data, identifying errors, and addressing issues, rather than data entry.
6. Process Improvement: The corporate services team and GM are driven by process improvement, offering opportunities to contribute.
Your Skills & Experience
7. At least 5 years of experience in a payroll environment, including 1 year in a senior role with involvement in award interpretation.
8. Experience in the not-for-profit (NFP) sector is highly advantageous.
