Tech Finance is responsible for the provision of financial control, reporting and planning services to the Technology division. We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their cost bases and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans.
Technology Finance’s mission is to “influence strategic outcomes through transparent insights and passionate people”.
Your team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team of approximately 90 people and provides financial management, planning and controls services to Group and Business Unit CIOs.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Assist in the preparation and input for month end close activities, performance reporting and financial control related tasks.
* Prepare Technology’s Workforce reporting, including trend and variance analysis.
* Partner with teams across Technology to support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Assist with delivery of actionable insights to drive better business performance, identifying cost optimisation opportunities.
* Identify emerging trends that may indicate potential issues.
* Prepare ad hoc analysis and provide input as required by key stakeholders across Finance and Technology.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across team processes.
* Positively contribute to team culture and the work environment.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
* Graduate qualifications in a numerate discipline preferably finance, business or economics.
* CA / CPA / CFA qualified or part qualified.
* Experience in Public Practice or Commercial finance, ideally within a large corporate.
* Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills.
* High degree of commercial acumen, with experience in Information Technology a distinct advantage.
