About the role:
It is the purpose of this role to provide culturally sensitive social, emotional, and spiritual well-being support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people admitted to the Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit and the Older Persons Mental Health Inpatient Unit, including direct care coordination and support to the consumer, their families and community. This also includes working as a member of a mental health multidisciplinary team in the provision of advice to staff on social and cultural aspects of assessment, treatment, and recovery.

Mandatory qualification/s:
Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.1 to HWF3.5 requires:
* Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or
* Certificate IV in Mental Health, or
* Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, or
* Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires:
* Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or
* Diploma of Mental Health, or
* Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs.

Total remuneration value of up to $114,355 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $37.87 - $50.54 p.h.
