Field Service Engineer- Electron Microscope or Electrical Engineer background Training provided Background in Electrical Engineering or Electron Microscopes is a plus Japanese language skills are an advantage This company offers a broad range of specialized instruments, including electron microscopes, semiconductor, industrial, and medical equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and providing technical support for electron microscopes and other instruments. You will also assist in sales promotion efforts and deliver high-level customer support. If you have a few years of experience as a Field Service Engineer with an electrical background, extensive training will be provided both in Australia and internationally. After 6 months, you will undergo several months of training overseas. Key Responsibilities: Perform installations, maintenance, repairs, and user training as assigned by the Service Manager in a prompt and professional manner Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits Offer phone support to other engineers when necessary Train customers on the use of instruments Maintain service files, ensuring that service reports, test results, packing slips, etc., are properly documented Update the Solve 360 database as required Inform the manager of any service issues encountered in the field Provide reports to the manager upon completion of service or at the end of each week Assist in promoting company products Travel interstate and internationally for customer visits as required Perform other tasks as instructed by the line manager Ensure all relevant ISO 9001:2000 requirements and procedures are followed Bottom of Form YOU: A few years of experience in Electrical Engineering Experience with or knowledge of electron microscopes is a plus Must have a car and a valid driver's license Proficiency in Japanese is a plus Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or Partner Visa required At HOBAN we encourage applications from people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people of all genders, LGBTI people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
