This pivotal position will oversee the development and execution of the University's IT Cyber Security, Risk, and Identity Management strategies, ensuring a secure and resilient environment for the entire university community. In this role, the successful candidate will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality security and compliance services. They will be responsible for identifying and addressing security risks, setting performance benchmarks, and implementing best practices for IT policies and procedures. The Manager will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in the security landscape and integrate Identity Management practices into the broader Cyber Security strategy. Additionally, the Manager will lead IT Disaster Recovery Planning activities and mentor team members to achieve their performance goals. Selection Criteria: The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. They should possess extensive experience in information security and risk management, with a proven track record in developing and delivering enterprise-wide security strategies. Experience in designing risk-based security frameworks, knowledge of security best practices, and familiarity with standards such as ASD Essential 8 and ISO-27001 are essential. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver effective user education. Understanding current trends in higher education and holding industry certifications like CISSP or CISM would be advantageous.
