Senior Program Advisor
Lead a Major Education Event | Project Management | Stakeholder Engagement
Location : East Melbourne | VPS 5
About the Role:
Drive the success of the 2025 Government Schools Principals’ Conference by coordinating logistics, managing suppliers, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Oversee venue setup, execution, and smooth flow for up to 3500 participants. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and impact the future of education across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the venue setup, including seating arrangements, signage, registration desks, and AV equipment.
* Coordinate with external suppliers for catering, accommodation, transportation, and AV services.
* Ensure smooth event operations and handle unexpected challenges.
* Support the coordination of merchandise and collateral.
* Provide high-quality customer service throughout the event.
* Monitor conference progress, targets, and risks to ensure alignment with objectives.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the program meets their needs and expectations.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in program design and delivery, including managing large-scale events.
* Proven project management skills to manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
* Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
* Customer-focused mindset, tailoring services and outcomes to meet stakeholder needs.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence and drive program success.
* Tertiary qualification in education, public administration, or a related field.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
