Positions Available:
* 1 x Ordinary Board Member
* 1 x Deputy President

* Enhancing Support Networks: Ensure that individuals affected by endometriosis in Western Australia have access to the resources and community they need to manage their condition effectively.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and refining a system of good governance that is appropriate for the organisation.
* Driving the strategic direction of the organisation.
* Advocate for the organisation's mission, vision, and programs to the public and stakeholders.
* Act as a fiduciary of the organisation, ensuring its financial stability and accountability.
* Provide guidance on governance, contracts, fundraising, advocacy, and risk management.
* Participate in board meetings, committees, and events.
* Regularly review the board's structure and composition.
* Work collaboratively with the Board to fulfill the organisation's compliance obligations and strategic milestones.
* Provide advocacy and represent the organisation when required.
* Deliver projects aligned to the organisation's vision, missions, and values.
About You:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following selection criteria:
* Demonstrated Board experience and a comprehensive understanding of non-profit governance standards and responsibilities.
* Passion for the mission and vision of the organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in non-profit law or related fields.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Well connected in the non-profit and health sector.
* Able to read and comprehend corporate accounts, financial materials, and financial reporting requirements.
* Able to identify strategic opportunities and threats with demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic priorities.
* Experience in implementing, managing, or overseeing risk management and compliance frameworks.
* Completion of a formal qualification/training in governance or a directorship.
* Ideally a membership of a professional body.
* Able to devote at least four (4) hours per month to board duties and attend Board Meetings.
* Able to work effectively in a team and respect diverse opinions.
This is an elected position, with interested candidates required to become financial members of Endometriosis Western Australia in order to nominate for this role.
