About This RoleOn behalf of hour client, a global leader in energy, we are looking for a Pipeline Decommissioning Regulatory Coordinator.This role will be the key point of contact for all environmental and regulatory matters and is responsible for coordinating and overseeing environmental and regulatory programs, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Collaborate with environmental, socioeconomic, and health consultants, and the project team to prepare the project's Emergency Support Group (ESHIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) Develop and implement the project's Regulatory Compliance Plan and Environmental Management Plan Prepare presentations, reports, and regulatory submissions for authorities Support the project's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Manager in ensuring best environmental, socioeconomic, and health practices Obtain necessary project permits, licenses, and approvals in a timely manner and track compliance status Work with design and execution teams to ensure environmental and health requirements are integrated into project plans Provide input into EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor tender packages regarding environmental and health matters Assist the SHE Manager in developing cost and schedule estimates for regulatory approvals and compliance Recommend and oversee mitigation measures for environmental, socioeconomic, and health impacts Coordinate with EPC contractors to ensure proper development of environmental and health-related plans (e.g., Waste Management, Spill Response, and Health Plans) Conduct routine inspections and report any compliance or non-compliance issues Prepare internal and external reports on E&R (environmental and regulatory) performance and compliance Assist in developing training and awareness sessions related to environmental and health matters Stay updated on emerging legislation and regulations impacting the project RequirementsRequirements: University degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related field Previous experience in a similar regulatory or environmental role, ideally in construction or extractive industry projects Knowledge of Commonwealth/Victorian Acts and Regulations relating to pipelines Experience in the oil and gas industry is beneficial Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work within a team Ability to interface across regulatory, environmental, and technical roles Excellent written and verbal English communication skills BenefitsAbout Brunel:Brunel is a recruitment and flexible workforce solution provider which connects talented people with opportunities throughout Australasia and around the world.
