About This Role
On behalf of our client, a High Profile Energy Corporation, Brunel is actively sourcing a Technical Writer located south of the river working collaboratively with site Subject Matter Experts to document and update plant and equipment in line with principal and legislative requirements. This will be a 6 month contract duration requiring also some local visits to other sites.
* Developing and creating technical documentation for the maintenance and operation of plant and equipment
* Driving the creation of documentation methodology and framework
* Maintaining proper methodology for purposes of consistency and efficiency
* Interpreting, analysing and producing technical documentation for site assessment following Process Safety & Asset Management principles
Requirements
* Strong Technical Writing skills and heavy industry experience
* Bachelor's Degree in English or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience in heavy industry, mining or engineering environment
* Extensive experience architecting complex site documents and documentation sets, information design and structured authoring documents
* The ability to learn complex drafting and engineering concepts quickly and explain with clarity and technical accuracy
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Word and Excel specifically
* Understanding of engineering drafting standards and processes with a proven track record, preferably in the heavy engineering industry
* Works well under pressure and manages conflicting priorities and deadlines
* Customer centric in all activities and decisions
* Staying abreast of technology changes and enhancements
