We are seeking a skilled TSPV - System Engineer (SFIA Level 4) to join a team dedicated to supporting Australia's national security. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and patching a VMWare-based environment, ensuring compliance with ISM controls and best practices. The successful candidate will have experience in network and security systems management and will play a key role in maintaining the ASD's technical infrastructure. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must hold a Positive Vetting clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure, maintain, and patch VMWare environments in accordance with ISM guidelines
* Install and maintain network security systems, ensuring their optimal performance
* Use network management tools to report on network load and performance
* Identify and resolve operational issues while ensuring compliance with procedures
Essential Criteria:
* Experience administering VMWare environments, including server, storage, and network infrastructure
* Solid knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies
* Positive Vetting clearance required
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience with security applications such as SIEM (e.g. Arcsight, Splunk), vulnerability management, or firewall technologies
* Experience with Linux systems and related security tools
The role is Canberra based and fully onsite.
Security Clearanc: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates require an AGSVA TSPV clearance to perform this role. Willingness to undergo a suitability assessment.
