About the role Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for a Senior Advisor Project Controls to join our Project Controls team to contribute to the improvement of project control practices within the APAC Portfolio of Studies (capital and closure projects). Reporting to the Project Controls Manager – Studies, you will: Create, maintain and report on the project forecast and other project controls data. Identify improvement opportunities for streamlining project controls work process. Coordinate the development of project control accounts and budget. Coordinate the setup and issuance of cost reports, including cost control curves. Coordinate the development of contingency and change management procedure. Coordinate the implementation of effective contingency and change management process. Coordinate the setup and implementation of project progress measurement practices. Coordinate the development of Final Forecast Cost (FFC) through proactive identification / mitigation of risks and progress tracking. Coordinate compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools. Manage the accruals process and timely status reporting. Manage the relationship with project control stakeholders internally and with contracting partners. Maintain relationships internally with the procurement and estimating groups to ensure accuracy in current trends. Proactively analyse and report budget and cost variations. Provide technical support to project stakeholders. Utilise the guidance and protocols for project controls in the projects framework. What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team. A recognised expert with at least 15 years' experience predominantly in project controls but can include planning, cost control, engineering and/or project management for major and mega projects and studies. The ability to interpret and present project data in a way that adds value to projects by providing insightful reporting and forecasting information. Demonstrated leadership experience with an ability to work in team environments. Thorough understanding of the mining, metals industry as it relates to project controls and project delivery. Passionate focus on project governance and project management. Desire to share knowledge and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work within large multi-disciplinary teams to consistently achieve safety and operational outcomes and delivery of targets. It will also be beneficial if you have: Degree qualification in Engineering or similar. Previous success in leading a team of project controls professionals.
