Senior Claims Advisor Job No: 673919 Canberra Max Term Full Time Insurance Pay Band 4 12 month role A great opportunity to collaborate and build strong relationships Make a real difference through continuous improvement ACT location The purpose of this role is to provide a superior level of customer service whilst maintaining a Commercial focus on achieving business outcomes. This role is responsible for the proactive management of a portfolio of Complex CTP/MAI Personal Injury Claims in accordance with legislative, regulatory & procedural guidelines, in order to achieve cost effective and timely claim outcomes. Key Responsibilities include: Proactively manage a portfolio of claims in accordance with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines to achieve cost effective and timely claim resolutions Support Team Leader and Technical Specialist with discussing innovative Claims Management strategies and supporting continuous improvement. Proactively work to resolve claims within the earliest possible timeframes by engaging with stakeholders and actioning activities and incoming correspondence in a timely fashion, across a portfolio of claims to achieve optimal outcomes Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with ongoing review of medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports Overall management of individual claims to ensure appropriate strategies are followed in order to reduce the average duration and cost of claims Continually assess the Quantum and Estimate of claims utilising the evidence available and in accordance with procedural requirements. Coaching and mentoring claims advisors to ensure sound decision making and upskilling of other team members Skills & Experience: Degree in Business, Commerce, Allied Health or related field – desirable but not essential Diploma or Cert IV in Personal Injury Management or equivalent – desirable but not essential 2 years Insurance experience Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships Ability to accurately checking and processing tasks and showing concern for all aspects of the role Ability to identify developmental/training needs of a colleague and to provide practical on the job support on an as needs basis Committed to increasing customer experience and delivering high quality solutions within required timeframes Employee benefits | Suncorp Group At Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
