We work under an auspice arrangement with national RTOs. We are recruiting additional trainers for the following established courses to commence in 2025:Certificate III Sports and RecreationTo be considered for these positions, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).Relevant vocational qualification and current industry skills and experience.Demonstrated experience in the delivery of training and assessment of nationally accredited Industry Training Packages, including requisite documentation and compliance.Demonstrated extensive and current experience of working in industry.Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant industry, including WH&S codes, industry practice, labour market trends and opportunities.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver practical and innovative training to suit the learning profiles of students from diverse backgrounds.Relevant industry contacts are highly desirable.Self-motivated with well-developed time management, organisational and problem-solving skills.Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence of mandatory requirements.Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability and professionalism consistent with Department of Education code of conduct.ResponsibilitiesThe role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.Conditions of EmploymentAll staff employed by the Department and schools have access to a broad range of employment conditions and working arrangements.Appointment of successful applicants will be made subject to a satisfactory pre-employment conditions check.A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment and induction and support programs provided.
