About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our Warrnambool Adult Mental Health Team. The Adult Mental Health team perform a critical role in providing recovery oriented and trauma informed assessment and treatment utilising natural and existing community supports.
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting individuals experiencing mental illness or significant psychological distress, as well as their families, carers, and loved ones. You will utilise individual biological, psychological, and social interventions tailored to each person's unique needs and goals.
You will provide valuable support to both the wider team and management while contributing to a 24/7 roster, ensuring comprehensive care and assistance is available when needed most.
Position overview

Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3: $99,439.60 - $110,432.40 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation Occupational Therapist Grade 2: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation Social Worker Grade 2: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation Psychologist: $92,627.60 - $104,811.20 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation What you bring
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent skills and broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team-based multi-disciplinary model. A working knowledge of Recovery Oriented practices, trauma informed care, current mental health trends, legislation and relevant policy directions of mental health services is essential for this role.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, along with the initiative to work autonomously and within a team, as well as effective problem-solving and negotiation skills are a must.
You will be a:
Registered Nurse with appropriate tertiary qualifications, AHPRA Registration and at least 2 years' experience in the provision of mental health services. (Desirable: Completion of either Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.) Occupational Therapist with a Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency. Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Psychologist with Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist. What we offer
