About the Role As an associate director of the QLD REI R&A team, you will be responsible for managing risk across the portfolio including through applying credit/risk assessment skills and deal structuring capabilities to execute transactions. You will build collaborative relationships with Relationship Managers, Product Partner professionals and Institutional Risk team. Your role is customer-facing; the REI segment is charged with managing relationships with groups involved in the Resources, Energy, and Infrastructure segment. Industry specific research and ongoing portfolio management functions are also core responsibilities.
The role will provide direct exposure to a portfolio of REI clients across industry sub-sectors. In addition to managing the credit risk of existing REI customers, you will be responsible for the execution of new transactions and the role offers exposure to a number of different structures and ANZ product offerings.

What will your day look like? The primary activities of the role include:
Proactively manage ANZ's risk exposures to customers through your understanding and analysis of our customers' credit risk and clear communication with Risk and Business stakeholders. Manage and support facility structuring with REI customers and lead formal facility negotiation and documentation processes from an R&A perspective. Strong first line of defence with pro-active risk management and strong understanding and adherence to credit process & policies. Maintain internal and external networks to deliver customer outcomes and stay up to date on developments in the industry. Work to establish and maintain a decent understanding of the industry sub-segments across REI, including the preparation of industry research. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive experience in a credit-based Banking role; strong credit/risk assessment, structuring and financial analysis skills, including the execution of transactions with complex structures and effective ongoing credit management. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), including ability to articulate information in a concise format. Effective stakeholder engagement and experience leading credit workshops with Relationship Management and Product Specialists to define / establish credit requirements, including deal structuring and risk mitigation. Knowledge of products and services provided by Institutional Banking and how these can meet the needs of REI customers. Ability to autonomously progress a transaction from inception to close. Awareness of and interest in Resources, Energy, and Infrastructure (REI) industry segments and trends would be advantageous. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
