About the Role
Working with the Community Service Team, the Community Support Officer is responsible for services that contribute to the delivery of the City of Palmerston Community Plan including the following:
* A high standard of Customer Service both internally and externally
* The bookings and administration support of Council facilities
* Supporting implementation of events and programs
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform duties at the Recreation Centre, Library and Civic Plaza customer service desk and assist customers with their enquiries in person or by telephone.
* Administering facilities, bookings and processing payments.
* Support with the development and review of simple procedures and processes
* Various administrative tasks.
* Support existing events and programs.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Previous experience in a customer facing role
* Proven strong customer service skills with the ability to deliver exceptional service
* Demonstrated interpersonal communication and team-based skills
* Ability to work independently and follow established work procedures
* Ability to work varied hours
* Demonstrated experience in using office technology and Microsoft Office Suite
* Current NT Driver's Licence and valid OCHRE card
* Current First Aid certificate
