Organisation Overview: The UniSC Student Guild is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting, representing and enriching the experience of students at UniSC. Role Overview: We are searching for a supportive and professional team member to join our small but mighty team. Under the broad direction of the Student Guild Operations Manager, the Campus Lead (Satellite Campuses) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Student Guild at Satellite Campuses, including overseeing staff and supporting fundamental Guild services such as advocacy, welfare, retail, clubs and societies, and student engagement initiatives. The Campus Lead (Satellite Campuses) is based at Moreton Bay campus, with a strategic focus on delivering equitable engagement and support services to non-Sippy Downs campuses (i.e. Fraser Coast, Gympie, Caboolture, Moreton Bay). The role is remunerated at Level 7.1 of the Higher Education Industry General Staff Award. https://www.fairwork.gov.au/employment-conditions/awards/awards-summary/ma000007-summary What the day-to-day looks like:Manage all operational aspects of the UniSC Student Guild Satellite Campus staff (2 direct reports) including staff recruitment and performance. Act as the primary contact for satellite campuses clubs, students and staff. Consult and communicate with staff across the University to develop positive working relationships. Oversee the operational components of the Clubs and Societies program for Satellite Campuses, including supporting club affiliation, events, and the adherence to risk management practices. Oversee the operational components of the Student Guild's Support programs for Satellite Campuses, including the provision of emergency foodbank, welfare provisions and advocacy service. Oversee the development, planning, implementation and reporting of the Student Guild's engagement programs for Satellite Campuses, including social spaces, events, activities, and engagement at all Satellite Campuses. Research and analyse current practices in relation to activities relevant in the sector in order to inform the required outcomes and practices of programs and services offered by the UniSC Student Guild. Provide timely and regular reports to the Operations Manager to ensure targets are met in relation to strategic objectives to enhance the UniSC student experience at Satellite Campuses. Ensure that reporting and compliance requirements are met. Operate within the guidelines of the Student Guild budget upon advice from the Operations Manager.There is some evening and weekend work required in this role. Are we a good match?Applicants need to demonstrate: A tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. human services, social work, education etc); A high level of interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with, and support the student population; Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to edit and review documents; Strong organisational and attention to detail skills. Demonstrated ability to work with limited day-to-day supervision, including the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines and work schedules;Demonstrated competency in electronic media (e.g. CRM systems, social media posts, Microsoft Office systems); Capacity to successfully function as part of a service team; working within a flexible work environment as directed by the Operations Manager;The ability to effectively and sensitively relate to people from a broad range of backgrounds and cultures.
