As an Inventory Control Officer at Supply Services you will be part of the team providing a centralised warehousing and inventory management function to support the Queensland Police Service including State Emergency Service and Marine Rescue Queensland. As part of this group you will be responsible for ordering and maintaining suitable inventory levels to support optimal warehouse operations and contribute to the enhancement of systems and procedures within the inventory management team.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Utilise the SAP materials management module to interpret inventory requirements, monitor stock levels, and manage re-ordering to maintain an
acceptable level of physical inventory to meet the needs of the Queensland Police Service for common use items.
• Determine current and future levels of investment for inventory in consultation with management and user areas, and review all aspects of usage patterns, lead times and inventory investment levels.
• Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
• Undertake procurement of inventory, including raising, expediting and/or resolving supply issues of orders for the replenishment of stock in a timely fashion to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
• Assist with and advise on the preparation of specifications and evaluation of offers received for the provision of goods and services.
• Prepare correspondence relevant to the purchase and management of inventory.

Qualification
• Highly desirable Queensland Government Level 2 Procurement Certification or equivalent.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
• Experience in SAP considered highly desirable knowledge of or ability to obtain Supply Chain Methodology.
