About the Role:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator you will be responsible for supporting operations at our Murrin Murrin (WA) site. Working a great family friendly FIFO roster (8&6) you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient acceptance, securing, and delivery of freight.
Responsibilities include:
* Operating Reach stackers, trucks, forklifts, and front-end loaders to load and unload products safely and efficiently.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures during equipment operation.
* Complying with safety, fatigue, and heavy equipment guidelines.
* Providing outstanding customer service and maintaining professionalism.
* Performing general terminal duties and basic data entry as required.
* Conducting equipment inspections and pre-start checks in line with Aurizon policies.
* Handling bulk dangerous goods.
* Utilising your skills and licenses while being open to obtaining additional certifications as needed.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* High-risk heavy forklift ticket.
* MC license.
* CN/reach stacker ticket (mandatory).
* Front-end loader ticket.
* Dangerous goods license.
* Knowledge of terminal operations and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Strong skills in routine terminal operations.
* Experience in a heavy operation.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective relationships.
